FORM is about design and structure. A sound foundation is key to the development of hair education. Once the foundation is established, we are free to use this pattern to create our art. FORM is a community of hair stylists, hair colorists, and hairdressers committed to the growth of our craft, creativity, and continuing education.
At our academy in Dallas, we hold a class ratio of 1 educator to 6 students. Book a course and have our educators come to you, with a class ratio of 1 educator to 8 students. You may also book an individuality course and work with one of our educators one-on-one. We will work with you using lectures, diagram training, demos, and hands on training with appropriate models.

Co-owner of FORM Salon and Hair Education and founder of BalayageDallas.com, Leighanne Shelton has been named by the beauty industries best as the “go to expert” for Balayage hair color and corrective color work. It's with no surprise that Leighanne, who hails from New York City’s landmark John Frieda Salon, has turned many traditional foil highlight- clients on to the more natural looking Balayage highlight and Ombre application.
Leighanne had a natural talent for color formulations and started gravitating towards color services. She sought out new techniques for color application by taking advanced color training classes at the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon and the Marie Robinson Salon. During her time working in New York Leighanne trained with the renowned Nancy Braun at Loreal’s Professional Institute and with Renee Patronik, named by the New York Times as the best colorist for brunettes. She has recently teamed up with Whitney Haynes, formerly of Osgood Oneil salon and L.A.R.C. salon, who is most well known in the industry for her cutting edge techniques and passion for education. They have combined their talents and efforts to integrate Whitney’s current business and passion-FORM hair education, into a high end salon, FORM Salon.
